To all the good little christians...

I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own - a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. It is enough for me to contemplate the mystery of conscious life perpetuating itself through all eternity, to reflect upon the marvelous structure of the universe which we can dimly perceive and to try humbly to comprehend even an infinitesimal part of the intelligence manifested in Nature. Albert Einstein

  • A central lesson of science is that to understand complex issues (or even simple ones), we must try to free our minds of dogma and to guarantee the freedom to publish, to contradict, and to experiment. Arguments from authority are unacceptable. Carl Sagan

  • I've never watched any of Sagan's stuff. His Cosmos series is currently on the Science channel every Tuesday night (9pm).

I might join Blockbuster Online to get his DVD set (8 disks?), along with some other titles.

  • Yep I watched him when I was a teenager! Great stuff...also a great movie based on his book called Contact was excellent. It explains most of my viewpoint on where we are in the universe.

I am also watching the discovery channel ones as well because they remastered and added cgi to the shows.
